My new friend

This is my new puppy. A friend of ours found this puppy roaming around. They would be evicted if they kept him, so we said we would keep him for a few days to try to find the owner, or to find a good home for him. Well...he was just too sweet to send to the pound, so we ended up keeping him. We think that he is a German Shepard and Rotweiller cross. He is about 3 months old, weighs 39 pounds, and is soooo smart! He learned "sit" in 4 days, and is so full of love. He is like a wet noodle when you pet him. He just falls on the floor. He likes to sleep in the doorway, and has to follow us through the house. My 8 year old beagle is not thrilled with him, but it's getting better. Hopefully they will learn to co-exist. His name is Kodiak (because his paws are so huge he will be the size of a bear) but we call him "Kodi" for short. He is a handful of puppy love.

Me & My Fish

This is my fish. No really. My fish. I caught it all by myself. I didn't have any idea it was this big, I don't remember it fighting much. I remember thinking that it was probably a small northern, or a large bass. But when it got close to the boat, and Eric said "holy crap" I knew I was in for a big fish. I of course freaked out, (probably because Eric said "don't panic") while he was trying to get the net. After about 10 minute, he asked if I wanted his help. I said no, becuase I wanted to be able to say that I did it all by myself. When I got it in the boat, Eric said "this one is going on the wall isn't it?" I said "heck ya!" Well, wouldn't you? 20 months, and $288 later, and there is my whopper hanging on the wall. There have been some interesting "fish stories" in my family. There will be more posted. This one was Memorial Day weekend, 2005, and was 36" long, and about 14 lbs. caught at Tipsanah Mounds Campground - Pomme de Terre lake, Elbow Lake, MN.

Buy a Puppy - Help a Stranger

I had this listed on SCS - But was told that I could not list it as it is a solicitation to sell. I just want to help my friend. This friend/neighbor of mine used to sell Avon. She purchased 250 stuffed Gund brand puppies for a fundraiser for a local "youth organization". The leaders of this group assured her it was ok to order them, and then did not initiate the sale and her son was the only one who sold any! There were only 49 sold, and she has been stuck with the other 201 ever since. She still owes the bill for the puppies, and cannot return them now due to the time lapse. She is no longer able to sell Avon because of the outstanding bill. I told her I would post and see what I could do to help her get rid of these. I know that Stampers are the most caring and generous people I have ever met, and I think we can pull together and help out. There are thousands of people online, and we only have 201 puppies - who's first?

The original selling price was $17.99, and her cost was $11 each. She will sell them for $10 each just to get rid of them. Shipping would be $5 for one, and $1 for each additional (until they don't fit in one box anymore - she will work with anyone who buys this many).

The name of the puppies is Peanut the floppy dog, and these are no longer available anywhere. They are 18" long, and approximately 8" across (so about 16" around I suppose). They are ultra plush and made out of the super soft material often used for baby toys. This would be a great gift for a new baby, for easter, birthday, whatever. Remember, there are only 201, and that is all! Please help. Payment can be made by mail, or to a paypal account.

If you are interested, email to bryllig@msn.com and put Gund Puppy in the subject line (so I can dig it out of my junk mail if necessary).

Thank you in advance to all who are helping.
